Patient: "Sorry I'm late...I'm scheduled for an acne injection but while I'm here I wanted to get a skin cancer screening and Juvederm" #captionthis
Be the student that wants to learn as much as possible so that you can properly treat your future patients. Be the physician that would go above and beyond without question. Be the doctor that sees the patient as a whole and not just a diagnosis. Be the person that cares for people. Period. If you are a person that cares more for others than you care about your status or monetary goals..you are meant for this profession. Don't ever give up. Communities are in need of health professionals that are passionate about people. This journey is not easy, but we need people like you to make a difference. So keep pushing! // Peep my IG story to see what made this surgery day so eye opening
It's the best feeling when you walk into a patient's room to do a procedure with a doctor and the doctor says "You got this right?" After I internally jumped in the air + did a split, I proceeded to numb the patient and remove/cauterize 15 skin tags. Not the most glamorous procedure but of course I enjoyed it. The patient even looked at me and said "you must love this, your face says it all" #minimilestone
The uncertainty of this process is enough to make anyone go crazy. But I'm learning to trust the process and enjoy the process! After having one interview under my belt, I'm ready for everything that's coming next. Don't really know what city I'll be in this time next year… But I'm one step closer to that M.D.
It's Columbus Day...so this weather is fitting. I would say at least I get a day off, but I'm currently on my way to work #loselosesituation
Interview day is over. Thank you all for your encouraging messages...I think it went well but who really knows lol Time to prepare for my next one!
Hair in a bun means business // This weekend was very productive for me and I'm very proud of myself. Usually I'm so tired from the week I just relax all weekend and don't even put a dent in my to-do list. This weekend I managed to update 'My Mcat Schedule' on the blog (go check it out), hang out with my bestfriend for some retail therapy + prepare for my upcoming interview. Who else had a productive weekend?
